Unit Circle Vis
Project Description
INSPIRED BY https://www.mathsisfun.com/algebra/trig-interactive-unit-circle.html albeit different for Snap! reasons.
Press A to toggle between constantly animating it, or allow you to change where its at.
Press D to switch between Radians and Degrees.
On the left side you have your circle (the blue thing, of course) with purple lines spliting the quadrants of the circle. You have the blue and green lines, as the base for the triangle, and that white line connecting them (this line will always be the length of "r", as it points to a point on the circle).
At the top, you can see the constant 'r' (always 100, might allow you to change it later), and "d", which displays the currently shown degree on the circle.
At the bottom, you can the set x and y coordinates of the current point. Note one thing, normally in other visualizations X is cosine while Y is sin. This has to be swapped because of the different direction schemes and such. Anyway, you can also see the finished result of those functions.
Now on the right side. This is a graph of the sin and cosine functions (with the same colors as the XY text on the left), with a red line being the current degree, intersecting with the two waves. I plan to add extra label here, customizable, of course.
And thats it! Play around!
